6K a year 1 day ago 1 day ago 1 day ago Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a detail-oriented, Referral Specialist to join our Women's Care Team! We need someone with a professional demeanor, can work well under stress/stress situations, will provide great customer service to our patients, and is able to multitask! Under the supervision of the Practice Manager, the Referral Coordinator will facilitate referrals from our Family Medicine providers to other hospital providers, specialists, and outside facilities.
This position is responsible for partnering with multiple insurance companies for authorizations, ensuring referrals are maintained in a timely manner, and sent to the appropriate provider.
The Referral Coordinator will assist patients in the coordination of care, and provide details to patients regarding the status of their referral to outside providers.
Answers incoming calls and re-directs as needed in a friendly, timely, and professional manner.
Qualifications and Preferred
Experience:
Knowledge of basic computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite Computer skills in utilizing word processing, integrated EMR database, and other functions Ability to type at least 40 words per minute Ability to relate and work effectively with others Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills Prior experience in healthcare setting required About Northwest Specialty Hospital:
